To help the majestic velvet paw, the cat owners quickly knew what to do: Since Maine Coons are very sociable animals and need companions for their happiness, a second Maine Coon should move in and get Mango out of his slump.
But it is difficult to assess in advance whether a merger of two conspecifics will work.
In the case of Mango and the young cat, however, the story takes a touching turn: Mango falls head over heels in love with his new playmate Hera and the two quickly become inseparable.
