Penzberg - During traffic surveillance on Thursday evening (March 21st) around 8 p.m. on Seeshaupter Straße in Penzberg, police officers observed a man drinking from a beer bottle while driving.
According to the police, when the police wanted to check 28-year-old Bichler, the man fled in his VW Polo, even though the officers asked him to stop with a signal, flashing lights and a siren.

The Bichler raced through the Penzberg urban area at extremely high speeds, the police continue.
After a short search, the Polo was found in the Lidl parking lot in Penzberg.
A breath alcohol test showed the 28-year-old had a blood alcohol level of more than 0.8 per mille.
According to police, the driver is being investigated for prohibited motor vehicle racing and drunk driving.
