Marissa Baker married and divorced after two years - twice - before the age of 30. Now she lives in a platonic relationship with her soul mate, but insists it's nothing more

Kucharit from Florida, who was divorced twice before the age of 30, says that she keeps trying - and doesn't even rule out a third marriage: "I still guard myself a little because I'm afraid of the pain, but because I've successfully navigated cases of divorce and separation in the past, I know that I have the tools to deal with it." So says Marissa Baker, 32.

The millennial met her first husband in college while studying sports management - they had a stormy relationship that quickly turned from "hot" to "intense".

The couple married in December 2014, but separated two years later.

"When it was good, it was really good, but when it was bad, it was really bad," Baker said of her first marriage, which ended in divorce in June 2016.

"Unbelievable, but the cringe-worthy tip my mom gave me got me a boyfriend!"

Kris divorced her husband, but continues to take care of him together with her new husband.

Even before the divorce was legally finalized, Kutcher found herself in a relationship with the man who would become her second husband, whom she met on Tinder.

She also broke up with him not long after the wedding.

"So it was easy to say that the first husband was the problem, and not take responsibility for my problems - it was easier to tell myself that I didn't need to take care of myself, and jump right into this other relationship," Baker shared

in retrospect, adding: "I wasn't a great partner - and I mean it For example, my ex always asked for things that weren't very difficult, like doing the dishes or the laundry, and I just couldn't get myself to do it."

She married husband number 2 in 2019 and divorced in November 2021. "I had just turned 29. I had anxiety and a lot of shame about leaving everything because I thought, 'Damn, how did I get here again?'" she recalls.

".

"As much as I think these feelings are useless, I do think the fear and shame really forced me to reflect and ask 'How did I contribute to the problem?'" she continued "I worked on areas I needed to fix and really focused on how I got into this situation in the first place."

After her second divorce, Baker decided to focus on herself and then met her "platonic soulmate" (that's how she defines it) - Patty Kulak, 27, a local planner, at her birthday party, and in May 2021, the bachelorettes decided to move in together, since they were both divorced.

Now they go on 'dates', exercise and do housework together.

Baker explains that they are "like wives" but insists that they are not attracted to each other.

"Unlike in the past, our relationship is very simple - we simply say, 'This is where I am and this is what I want/need,' and the other listens and understands," explained Baker - "That's why we jokingly call each other platonic partnerships. Whatever the universe brings us, We just help each other understand, and it's so simple and fun," she added.

Now, almost three years after her divorce, Baker has found herself in a committed, exclusive relationship for the first time: "I just recently got into a relationship after two and a half years of thinking, 'Okay, I think I can do this,'" she said.

In this new version of herself, she lost 20 kilos and also discovered her new love for the gym.

My life changed 360 degrees, she said, "I went from being quiet who doesn't speak her mind to someone who doesn't care what people think of her. Like if you like it or don't like it, that's what you get."
