EDP, a company that develops decentralized renewable and solar projects in Europe, has been selected by Decathlon to install up to 80 suite systems and in other locations of the group's factories in six European countries, in particular in Italy.
The initiative, we read in a note, accelerates Decathlon's commitment to producing and consuming solar energy, moving closer to the company's objective of using only renewable energy for its points of sale by 2026, the deadline by which the installation of the systems will be completed, as well as in Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium and Germany.
The plants will produce a total of up to 21 mwh per year, a quantity of energy sufficient to supply four thousand homes, avoiding the emission of approximately five thousand tons of Co2 per year.
