Highlights: Jorge Martínez's oral trial for sexual abuse against Florencia Marcó has been postponed. Judge Sergio Paduczak asked for recusal after alleged irregularities in the process. Marcó claims that the club's former women's soccer coach harassed and sexually abused her since the beginning of 2022. "I'm sure the judge will condemn him. What happens is that there is complicity on the part of the boys and the institution," says Marcó, who is still an employee of the club.

The woman who denounced the former coach of the women's team spoke after Judge Sergio Paduczak's request for recusal. "I'm sure the judge is going to condemn him," said the victim, who is licensed as the team's press officer.

"In Boca they know that they are guilty of what is happening and so they do this.

It is their modus operandi: to delay everything

," says Florencia Marcó, who reported that the club's former women's soccer coach, Jorge Martínez, harassed and sexually abused her. since the beginning of 2022. This Monday the sentence of the oral trial that had begun on Friday was going to be known, but Martínez's lawyer challenged Judge Sergio Paduczak for alleged irregularities in the process.

"The truth is that I did not expect this, today I expected to hear that they were going to condemn him, but thinking about it, it is

the strategy that Boca uses to defend an abuser,

and this maneuver exposes it," Marcó tells

Clarín.

"I am calm. "I'm sure the judge will condemn him.

What happens is that there is complicity on the part of the boys and the institution

."

Marcó is 36 years old and started working in Boca in the press area 12 years ago.

In 2022 he took charge of women's football communication and that is when, he claims,

Martínez's harassment and abuse began.

Marcó

spoke about the issue countless times with the club's directors

and a report was made in the Department of Inclusion and Equality, but nothing helped the coach to be removed from his position.

That happened when Marco reported him to court, in March 2023.

"A maneuver to impose fear"

The oral trial began on Friday.

For five hours, 14 witnesses testified

, of which 11 have a dependency relationship with the club

.

"They only told lies," Andrea Lucangioli, Marcó's lawyer,

told

Clarín .

This Monday the sentence was scheduled to be handed down, but Martínez's lawyer, Ángel Romero, presented a challenge against the judge: "He departed from his role by asking countless induced questions to the witnesses," said

Romero, who is the Party's lawyer. Celeste anti-abortion and the Mas Vida association

- something that is prohibited by the Criminal Procedure Code."

According to Romero, the challenged judge "led the witnesses with their questions, so that they could affirm that there was physical contact, when 13 of the 15 witnesses stated that they

were not present

or that they did not see such contact."

Jorge Martínez and his lawyer, at the exit of the Comodoro Py Courts.

"Boca always defended the abuser. And with this maneuver

they want to continue imposing fear so that no one reports anything

," says Marcó.

The club gave her unpaid leave

.

Martínez, she claims, was also given leave, but he continues to receive his salary.

Marcó is still an employee of the club and, she says, she is undergoing psychological treatment as a result of the harassment and abuse suffered: "I am living off my savings.

The only thing I want is to close this stage, get him convicted and be able to move on with my life.

".

"I am not going to continue in Boca.

I cannot be part of an institution so perverse

that for a year they did not even call me to see how I was doing. And with what they are doing now they are inviting me to leave," says Marcó.

But yes, she says, she trusts in Justice: "I saw the light in Justice, and I am sure that it will be fair. At times it becomes difficult and you think that you have to get off the train, because the processes are long, but it's okay. the penalty,

because when justice comes you live again

."

"I want to continue dedicating myself to communication, and now also to

help women not go through these situations

. The truth is that in football there are a lot of men who treat you well, with respect, and have a gender perspective. I "He had a problem with this man, and there was a pact of chivalry to protect him, but

not the entire football environment is like that

," concludes Marcó.

Neither Marcó nor his lawyer are plaintiffs in the case.

It is in the hands of the Oral Prosecutor's Office No. 22, headed by Marcelo Martínez Burgos.

And it will be Judge Patricia Cusmanich, of the Oral Court No. 22, who will decide the situation of Judge Paduczak.

She has 48 hours

.
