A man, suspected of several rapes and sexual assaults in the Grenoble area, has been wanted by the police for several weeks, Grenoble prosecutor Éric Vaillant told Le Parisien on Monday, confirming information from Dauphiné Libéré.
There would be eight potential victims, the Grenoble prosecutor also confirmed.
According to the Dauphiné Libéré, whose information Éric Vaillant confirms, the man, who is said to be traveling on an electric scooter, has been attacking young women for several months, always in the evening or at night.
Significant resources mobilized
The events allegedly occurred in several places in the Grenoble metropolitan area: in the town of Saint-Martin-d'Hères, or in the districts of Catane and Saint-Bruno.
Still according to our colleagues from the local press, significant investigative resources are being mobilized to try to arrest him.
Numerous alerts have also been circulating on social networks for several days and describe a “serial rapist”, who would act particularly in the Saint-Bruno district, in the city center.
