Several thousand liters of liquid manure spilled onto the street at around 9:37 a.m. on Thursday after an accident in Huntlosen (Grossenkneten municipality).
Huntlosen - According to the fire department, an agricultural team consisting of a tractor and a liquid manure tank trailer wanted to turn off the roundabout towards Sannumer Straße in the municipality of Großenkneten near Oldenburg (Lower Saxony).
For reasons unknown, the trailer's rear axle broke and a wheel came off.
The side tank connection also sheared off and a large part of the 18,000 liters of liquid manure spilled onto the road.
The damaged team was able to be driven to a nearby depot on its own initiative.
A second tanker finally vacuumed up the manure from the street.
