The Ministry of the Interior,
on which the
Secretariat of Tourism, Environment and Sports
depends , had already given a notice
.
This Tuesday the notices of non-renewal of the contracts or the dismissal telegrams would arrive directly to the
National Center for High Sports Performance (CeNARD)
, where
more than 400 people
work at the different headquarters (Núñez's own, the National Rowing Track and Canoeing and the National Sports Center of Ezeiza).
In recent days, the Secretary of Sports himself, the recently appointed
Julio Garro
, had contacted the leaders of
UPCN
and
ATE
, since the workers are affiliated with both unions (mostly the first), to alert them of that there would be
a 30 percent reduction in staff.
But the Government was 24 hours ahead of its intentions and this morning, at 8:30, even with personnel from the Federal Police - five troops - who first entered the CeNARD and then stayed at the main door of Miguel Sánchez 1050, it seemed to begin to fulfill his word.
The police presence was due to "prevention", as explained.
In the morning the leaders of UPCN (Union of Civil Personnel of the Nation) met with CeNARD employees.
They told them about the meetings they had held and that the response to Garro had been that that 30 percent number was *atrocious* since
"there are only 10 who do not come to work
," according to one of his own sources. CeNARD.
