Altötting - In Upper Bavaria, according to the police, a man deliberately drove his vehicle into a group of three people.
In the incident in Garching an der Alz (Altötting district), two men were hit head-on by the SUV and injured, one of them seriously, the police reported on Monday, March 25th.
Both were taken to hospital.

He is now in custody on suspicion of attempted murder.

The police and the public prosecutor's office are currently investigating the suspect's motive and the circumstances of the crime, a police spokesman said on Monday.
It remains “completely unclear” why the man acted like he did.
According to the current state of the investigation, the suspect did not know the two injured people before the crime.
So far he has not commented on the incident to the police or the investigating judge.
