Wolfratshausen's mayor Klaus Heilinglechner wants to have the concept of his city council colleague Hans Gärtner checked - even though it doesn't provide enough places.

Wolfratshausen – there should be 150 – at least.

Although this goal was not achieved, Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner has a now well-known plan examined.

The city council decided that Hatzplatz would be the best location for a new old town parking deck (or parking garage).

The minimum target was set at 150 places.

The SPD local politician Hans Gärtner sat down at his desk.

Together with city councilor Manfred Menke he developed a concept.

The planning is open, not very high and discussed with the volunteer fire department.

A sticking point: It is too small if you take the decision as a basis: According to the preferred planning, 124 spaces could be created in the Gärtner parking deck.

“I will still have them checked,” said Mayor Heilinglechner when asked.

At the most recent monthly meeting of his citizens' association, the town hall boss was asked about the gardener plan by ex-advertising group boss Fritz Koch.

Koch considers the planning to be significantly too small.

“The parking spaces are currently busier than ever before,” he explained.

And as reported, some are to be eliminated and replaced.

“Adequate parking spaces are essential for the survival of companies in the old town,” emphasized Koch.

Heilinglechner fundamentally agreed with him.

However, he referred to further plans by the city at other locations.

“We won’t be able to cope with the hunt alone,” he predicted.

“We definitely need a solution for the old town.

But I’m not rejecting it outright because of five parking spaces more or less.”

It is not possible to make full use of the building rights at Hatzplatz - “then we would have an eleven meter high building”.

He, like the majority of the city council, was interested in finding a pleasant solution.

Monthly meeting visitor Andreas Kieslinger advocated looking at the planned changes in the old town as a whole: “The Hatzplatz is only a part of it.” Even if a parking deck, which is often referred to as a “fillet lot,” is being built: “We can do that other, much nicer places.”
