In 2026, will the two million voters in Paris, Lyon and Marseille vote like elsewhere?
The presidential majority is preparing new
“simpler”
rules of the game for municipal elections in the three largest cities in France.
It is about moving quickly, despite the explosive nature of the operation, and despite the delay already incurred.
First announced for the end of 2023, this reform of the voting method must now be presented by the summer, in order to be adopted by Parliament by February 2025. That is, one year before the elections.
