A new trio of innkeepers has taken over the Café Garten on Schützenstrasse in the bathing area of Bad Tölz.
Kurt Büttner in particular will probably already be known to many guests.
Bad Tölz
– The Café Garten in Bad Tölz has new owners.
The restaurant reopened in mid-March on Schützenstrasse in Badeteil under the operators Kurt Büttner, Angela Bitetti and Szuszana Riegel.
Kurt Büttner in particular should be known to many people from Tölz: he was present at the Tölz Christmas market with a mulled wine stand from the very beginning.

Büttner grew up in the restaurant industry.
“My parents ran the Gasthof Papyrer in Fleck,” he reports in an interview with our newspaper.
As early as 1989, he set up a mulled wine and chestnut stand on Tölzer Marktstrasse for the first time in the run-up to Christmas - before the Christmas market existed in its current form.
Büttner was represented at the Christmas market from the first edition until 2005 and again since 2018.
A few years earlier, Büttner - actually a trained electrician - had started another sideline: he sold soft ice cream.
First he took part in the popular German-American spring festival in what was then the Flint barracks in Bad Tölz, and later he also went to markets, summer festivals and private events.
And the Café Garten now also has a soft ice cream machine, which can also be used to serve specialties such as banana splits or spaghetti ice cream, as Büttner reports.
Three new owners in the Café Garten in Bad Tölz
To manage Café Garten, he teamed up with two women from Tölz.
Angela Bitetti has extensive experience in gastronomy; many guests know her, for example, as an employee at the “Bindebräu”.
Zsuzsanna Riegel is an accountant and runs an office service in the bathing area.
The trio now runs the restaurant on Schützenstrasse as a café-bistro, where, in addition to Illy brand coffee and cake, you can also eat small things, such as bruschetta or tarte flambée, as well as beer and “three good types of wine,” says Büttner.
It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends from 9 a.m.
