New reality TV format: RTL is bringing a new format to the streaming service RTL+ this year.
This is what the viewers can expect.
Bocholt – The broadcaster RTL has announced a new reality TV format.
“The Summer House of the Stars” is set to receive a spin-off for the first time this year.
The well-known House of Horrors near Bocholt then welcomes eight couples from Germany - but with a big difference compared to the original.
The summer house becomes a “little misery” in the show: RTL+ shows Normalo season
The concept of the show remains the same: The couples fight for victory in games and are allowed to nominate each other for expulsion - arguments and escalations are inevitable.
But that is not the only challenge: Living together in the “Little Misery” also becomes a challenge for the participants.
The new version of the show has the telling title “The Summer House of Normals” and is produced by Seapoint Productions for RTL+.
Further details about the broadcast are not yet known.
Interested couples without celebrity status can still apply to take part in the reality TV format.
“The Summer House of the Stars”: Complete success since 2016
The show “The Summer House of the Stars” celebrated its TV premiere in 2016.
It is now one of the most successful reality TV shows.
The show is repeatedly characterized by strong arguments, so that couples often split up after taking part.
In 2023, the scandal between Gigi Birofio (24) and Can Kaplan (26) made headlines in the media.
Reality star Gigi became physical with Valentina Doronina's (23) boyfriend.
Ultimately, both couples were disqualified and had to leave the show.
Other couples, however, escape the “summer house” curse – such as Pia Tillmann and Zico Banach, who have just welcomed their first offspring together.
