Germany got out.

Other countries - including European ones - continue to rely on nuclear power.

A new study is now intended to confirm the traffic light government's nuclear-no-thanks policy.

A comment by Georg Anastasiadis.

Germany has been out of nuclear power for almost exactly a year, and there is no question of returning to it.

Nevertheless, the political dividend for the inventors of the exit is simply not forthcoming.

In surveys, a stable majority of Germans, looking back, are struggling with the shutdown of nuclear reactors - and since more and more important countries have spoken out in favor of continued use or a return to nuclear power (including the USA, France, Great Britain, Belgium, Finland, Poland and Sweden). The doubts of many voters have not diminished.

There is great concern that decarbonization without nuclear power will not be successful or will only be achieved at dangerously high costs, in any case it will be like open-heart surgery.

No other result of the study was expected

Germany's Green Environment Minister Steffi Lemke didn't let this rest.

And lo and behold: A study commissioned by the “Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management” (BASE) has now come to the desired conclusion that the use of new, modern fourth-generation reactor concepts must also be rejected.

Since the BASE is subordinate to Lemke's Ministry of the Environment and is headed by a Green party friend and the researchers commissioned are all proven supporters of the exit and are mostly closely connected to Lemke, a different result was not to be expected.

The minister spent at least 274,000 euros from her budget for the courtesy report.

Green lobbying at taxpayer expense to supposedly scientifically justify that it is not traffic light Germany, but all other countries that are wrong-way drivers when it comes to energy policy.

When Christian Lindner, the hunter of the lost federal treasure, goes looking for his missing billions, he now knows where there is apparently still an abundance of surplus financial resources.
