Highlights: Three schools in Oise were the target of attack threats this weekend, as were 122 others in Île-de-France last week. Threats were sent via the digital workspaces of students and parents at the start of the weekend. In total, ten establishments at the Amiens academy (Somme) were affected in the three Picardy departments. “Complaints have already been filed by the establishments and the academy in order to allow the first investigations,” it is further specified.

“Even if I know that there is nothing to fear, I am not reassured,” a student from the Mireille-Grenet high school in Compiègne testified this Monday morning.

We received a message saying that we were going to blow up our establishment and that we were going to be beheaded.

We were told that we could join them in their struggle.

It's scary.

What's more, it comes just after the Moscow attack claimed by the Islamic State.

Three schools in Oise were the target of attack threats this weekend, as were 122 others in Île-de-France last week.

Concerned in the department: the Mireille-Grenet high schools in Compiègne and François-Truffaut in Beauvais as well as the Ferdinand-Buisson college in Grandvilliers.

These threats were sent via the digital workspaces (ENT accounts) of students and parents at the start of the weekend.

“We saw this yesterday with my mother.

Since then, the accounts have been suspended, we no longer have access to them.

There was also an attachment, a video, but we did not open it.

It’s safer and we didn’t want to see that…”, continues this final year student.

“Complaints have already been filed”

In total, ten establishments at the Amiens academy (Somme) were affected in the three Picardy departments.

“In conjunction with the prefectures and the police, the rectorate and the directorates of the departmental services of national education (DSDEN) quickly put in place a protocol and communicated to all their heads of establishments as to the procedure to follow,” indicates the rectorate.

“Complaints have already been filed by the establishments and the academy in order to allow the first investigations,” it is further specified.

The middle and high schools affected by the hack were also supported throughout the weekend to allow classes to resume this Monday morning with reinforced security.

Police and gendarmerie, as well as mobile security teams from National Education, have been set up.

“We have planned surveillance in front of the entrance, when the students arrive,” we explain at the Compiègne police station.

“In order to allow students and staff to discuss this event, listening cells will be deployed,” also affirmed the Amiens rectorate.
