A
threat to drivers paralyzed bus service in Rosario this Monday morning,
amid the wave of drug violence and the reinforced security operation in the city with the presence of more federal forces and the Army.
The message,
handwritten on a sheet next to the drawing of a bullet,
was found at 6:30 a.m.
inside cell 326 of the Movi Rosario company,
the Rosario newspaper La Capital detailed.
The note warned that
this Monday there was going to be "one less"
on the tours that the company carries out in the western area of Rosario.
Through a WhatsApp group, one of the company's drivers
informed his colleagues of the threat.
As a consequence,
all the Movi buses that were circulating returned to the terminals
and those that were about to begin their routes did not leave.
The transportation service in the city suffered even more when
the Rosario Bus drivers made the same decision. Then the other companies folded to suit.
"Due to a threat received against workers in the sector, the urban transportation service is temporarily interrupted," confirmed the Municipality from its official Mobility account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“They left the threat at the base of one of the companies, very early this morning.
There is a temporary service suspension that we are hoping to resolve quickly.
The Investigative Police and the Rosario prosecutor's office are already acting,
and we are in contact with the union to be able to give them the necessary peace of mind so that this can be clarified quickly and the service can be resumed," said Sebastián Chale, Secretary of the Government of Rosario.
"These types of events have happened a lot in recent days. Some of them we clarified very quickly. For example, a bomb threat at the bus terminal in the middle of the four homicides we had. And in some cases we also had false threats. "I cannot affirm that this is the case. We take everything with the same rigor," added the official in dialogue with Radio Miter.
