This Monday March 25 at 2 p.m., the site 1jeune1solution.gouv.fr dedicated to youth employment, is enriched with a new section dedicated to second year internships: stagedeseconde.1jeune1solution.gouv.fr in order to be able to consult the offers available near you.
This new compulsory internship, decided at the start of the 2023 school year, for all secondary general and technological students will take place in less than three months: from June 17 to 28, 2024. Discovery of the business world, its vocabulary, its professions, its meetings... Just like the third year internship, this internship aims to make young people think about their professional future and their future direction.
A false good idea for some, a reclaiming of the month of June for others... The second year internship must find a place in the educational calendar, but especially within companies to be able to accommodate around 560,000 young people for 2 weeks.
Widely encouraged to take responsibility to promote their professions, companies can submit their internship offers on the 1jeune1solution site since the beginning of March: and they are now accessible to all.
Quality offers - not quantity of offers
The number of offers available - a key point of the system has not been communicated by the ministry - the site offers a search engine by keyword, postal code and duration of the internship.
In fact, students can choose to do 1 or 2 internships over the period.
Instead of finding just one internship, you will have to find 2 and therefore sign two internship agreements.
“Find a quality internship” announces the government website
Each internship offer presented on the site mentions the description of the internship (presentation), the times, the schedule of the week, the duration, the location, the number of places available.
The platform allows you to register to apply directly online via the 1jeune1solution website and thus monitor the progress of your applications.
To apply for an offer you will need to enter a cover letter answering the question: “Why does this internship motivate me”.
By explaining in a few lines your background, your desires, your passions, why you chose this offer.
The 1jeune1solution site was launched following the Covid crisis during the summer of 2020 by the government, it now serves as a toolbox for all questions relating to youth employment: job offers, work-study programs, assistance for hiring, training, support for housing or mobility, financial aid... The site is being rejuvenated and now offers second year internship offers for high school students.
This site should allow all young people to have real access to the business world, without depending on their parents' connections.
