According to our information obtained from the tax administration, the online income declaration service will open this year on Thursday April 11, 2024.
Depending on the taxpayer's department of residence, the deadline for completing the procedures is set for:
- Thursday May 23, 2024 at midnight for departments ranging from 01 (Ain) to 19 (Corrèze) and for non-residents having received income from French sources taxable in France;
- Thursday May 30, 2024 before midnight for departments ranging from 20 (Corse-du-Sud) to 54 (Meurthe-et-Moselle);
- Thursday June 6, 2024 in the departments from 55 (Meuse) to 976 (Mayotte).
Online declaration required, with some exceptions
Since 2019, all tax households have been required to declare their income online on the tax website.
However, those who are unable to declare their income online or whose main residence is not equipped with internet access can use the paper form.
For those concerned, the deadline for submitting declarations is May 21, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (including for French people residing abroad), the postmark being taken as proof.
Regarding the schedule for sending pre-filled declarations by mail, Bercy told us that it will be communicated later.
