Ten time slots instead of four: The “Würmtal in concert” format has grown significantly even before the premiere.

It is now clear which artists will appear in the Kupferhaus on October 6th.

Planegg

- Planegg's mayor Hermann Nafziger played lottery ticket on Friday.

On the stage of the Kupferhaus he drew those adult individual artists and groups who will be performing there at “Würmtal in concert” on Sunday, October 6th.

He didn't have to reach into the glass cup with the little red envelopes for the young people.

The four applications that were received were all considered.

The three ensembles and one individual artist get their own one-hour matinee in which they can each present themselves on the concert hall stage for between ten and 15 minutes.

The idea for “Würmtal in concert” arose from the desire expressed by the Planegger local council to offer local artists an opportunity to perform in the Kupferhaus with its outstanding acoustics.

They can't rent it.

The Kupferhaus is used by the Cultural Forum for cabaret, concerts, readings and theater, and is also used by clubs and institutions.

Start with youth matinee

Originally there were supposed to be two performances on October 6th as part of a classical matinee in the morning, 45 minutes each before and after the break, and two in the evening under the heading of light music.

“We have changed the concept,” said Anja Fanslau, head of the cultural forum, on Friday.

This happened after the application deadline at the beginning of March in consultation with the mayor and local council.

“We think it’s a nice thing to give young talents in the Würmtal an opportunity to perform.” That’s why all four applications from young people from Planegg, Gauting, Krailling and Lochham were taken into account.

The stage is yours from 10 a.m.

The actual classical music matinee begins at 11:30 a.m.

There were five applications.

However, a baroque ensemble withdrew because it was too much effort.

Four envelopes remained in the draw pot.

The first name Nafziger drew was “Petra Löhlein”.

Löhlein is a pianist and married to Philipp Pollems.

The PP&M local council got the ball rolling with its criticism of the copper house usage guidelines in May 2023.

The soprano Seeung-Hee Jang, who also lives in Planegg, was chosen as the second artist alongside Löhlein.

Tango is followed by rock

16 applications were received for the light music evening.

Four were rejected in advance: one because it arrived late, another because it came from a big band.

“That would have gone beyond the scope,” said Fanslau.

Two individual artists offered a program that was too short “more for a cabaret stage”.

In order to include as many of the remaining twelve artists and bands as possible, the evening was split up: once the concert started at 6 p.m., once at 8:30 p.m.

The twelve applications were divided into six thematically complementary pairs, so that Nafziger drew two lots and finally another to clarify which pair would appear when.

Tango is followed by rock: Trio Gemma from Lochham and Pure Tango from Krailling will play from 6 p.m.

And at 8:30 p.m. the stage is set for Kraillinger Markus Schmitt and his Living Tones, who were recently named best pop band at the 41st German Rock & Pop Prize for their album “Empathy”.

They are complemented by a group that already played in the Kupferhaus this year: Alex Bender & Band with Planegger Fabian Nafziger, son of Mayor Nafziger, as singer and bandleader.
