The Ministry of Health asks the public not to consume nutritional supplements marketed under the "Pro Nutrition" brand and sold at the IMS Sport store in Shafaram and other products bought at this store for fear of harming public health, this after they were brought in contrary to the law and without the Ministry's approval as required


The Ministry of Health issued a statement this evening (Monday) warning against the use of nutritional supplements that were imported in violation of the law and without the required approval of the Ministry.



The Ministry of Health asks the public not to consume nutritional supplements marketed under the "Pro Nutrition" brand and sold at the IMS Sport store in Shafaram and other products bought at this store for fear of harming public health, after these were brought in contrary to the law and without the required approval of the Ministry.



Following a complaint about side effects after using these supplements, an on-site audit was conducted by the food service at the Ministry of Health.

As part of the audit, dozens of products were found that were illegally imported, in serious violation of food legislation, with some of the products containing substances prohibited for use in nutritional supplements in the State of Israel, including medicinal substances.

It is important to note that products that are imported by registered importers and in a commercial manner or manufactured by licensed manufacturers, must be labeled in Hebrew and include information as required by the legislation: a quantitative breakdown of all the nutritional components, the name of the manufacturer, the name of the importer (if the product is imported) and other relevant information as detailed in the requirements .
