A drunk 37-year-old drove his BMW into an excavator in Weyarn on Saturday.
According to police, the man is facing criminal charges.
On Saturday (March 23rd) an accident occurred at Weigelfeld in Weyarn around 5:30 p.m.
“A 37-year-old from Weyarn drove his car off the road in a slight right-hand bend to the left and crashed into an excavator parked on the left side of the road,” explains the police.
BWM collides with excavator: two injured
There was a 25-year-old from Warngau in the car.
“Both people involved in the accident sustained minor injuries as a result of the impact,” the police said.
The entire front of the car was dented due to the impact.
There was material damage of around 25,000 euros.
“During the recording of the accident, it emerged that the 37-year-old driver was under the influence of alcohol.
A breath alcohol test subsequently carried out showed a level of over 1.0 per mille,” the report states.
“Due to the danger on the road due to alcohol, a blood sample was ordered.” The 37-year-old driver is now facing criminal charges.
