Her life continued to get complicated until she became pregnant with her daughter Iris, who she says changed her life and helped her come back to herself.
Now she's clean and sober, but still thinks about Richie.
She does know deep down that their relationship can never work out but she truly loved him, "wanted to die next to him" according to her.
"I promised I would be there [at his execution]," she said, "but I can't - my problem in life is that I follow my heart and not my brain, and I can't take that kind of risk now."
She focuses on raising her daughter Iris and tries to give her everything she deserves, but to this day claims she has never met a man like Richie.
As of now Richie is still incarcerated on death row.
