The investigation into the discovery of the body of a 13-year-old boy inside a freezer in Córdoba added a new chapter.
Now, the teenager's mother and grandmother gave a twist to the case: they claimed that Thiago Ismael Suárez was killed and
they targeted another family member.
The lawyer representing the victim's family maintains that there are several "strange circumstances" surrounding the boy's death.
"For now, no one in particular has been accused, but there are instances that Justice has to clarify because some incipient contradictions are appearing," said Carlos Nayi.
Claudia and Belén Jaime, the young man's grandmother and mother, now maintained that "Thiago was killed."
Their suspicions
point to the boy's uncle
who "didn't want him."
The boy's body was found frozen inside a commercial freezer during the early hours of last Wednesday in a house located in the Panamericano neighborhood of Córdoba capital.
After learning the tragic news, the teenager's 84-year-old great-grandmother suffered a heart attack and died in her room.
The boy's body was found by his grandmother around 1 in the morning.
"I was going to sleep and my daughter (through the boy's mother) told me that she was sick from the heat. I heard the noise of an engine and I thought the air had been turned on, but it was off; although the noise sounded the same. There I I realized that it was the commercial freezer that was on. The dead child's grandmother gave details of the chilling discovery.
"When I open the freezer, I find Thiago in there. I didn't know what to do. He didn't explain to me what he was doing

Police intervention was quickly carried out and the boy was taken to the Children's Hospital.
There, they confirmed his death and attributed it to cardiorespiratory arrest.

In principle they deny the possibility that the baby got there by his own means.

"As the days went by we thought that they suffocated him or put him to sleep because of how he was in the freezer: the body was too comfortable," adds the grandmother.

Nayi maintains that the investigation of the case is being carried out by "homicides."

Nayi listed those suspicious points.
