At the end of the performance, the former presenter of “The Greatest Cabaret in the World” went to his friend's dressing room to congratulate him and Jean-Luc Reichmann took the opportunity to immortalize the moment with a selfie.
The latter then posted the photo on his Instagram account with this message:
“The happiness of having received THE Patrick Sébastien today at the theater.
Thank you for your words my Patrick.”

In the photo, Patrick Sébastien, dressed in a leather jacket and a turquoise shirt, appears thin and a little tired, perhaps due to the neon light in the dressing room, which is rarely flattering.
It was enough to worry fans of the television man who immediately expressed their fears regarding his health.
“Patrick Sébastien, you have lost a lot of weight, I hope you are better
,” wrote one of them.
“He has lost a lot of weight, I think Patrick Sébastien.
I hope he’s not sick

In September 2022, Patrick Sébastien revealed in the book

(Éditions XO) that he had undergone surgery for kidney cancer at the start of the year.
He then explained: “
I’m doing very well, I’m calm.
What happened to me is what I call “chance”.
This has happened to me twice now.
These are cancers discovered by chance.
It happened last January.
I had a check-up ultrasound to see if everything was okay.
My doctor Georges saw a small white spot so he had me do an MRI and a biopsy.
He eventually discovered the cancer.
Although it was 3 centimeters, it was not invasive and did not require chemo.
So I had an operation with eight hours of anesthesia.
Rehabilitation and recovery were complicated.
But two months later, I was on stage.
It's part of life.
The word cancer doesn't scare me.
I simply didn’t want to publicize it.”

Since this announcement, the host seemed in good shape and very active.
Last September, he released another work called
Nostalvie (Éditions XO)
.
On this occasion, he gave news of his health during an interview with our colleagues at Gala.
“
I had a chest x-ray 15 days ago.
With everything I smoke it was necessary.
And all is fine !
I have nothing
,” he said.
