After the attack by the IS terrorist militia in Moscow, Kremlin boss Putin's friend Medvedev is seeking revenge.
He wants to hold not only the attackers accountable, but a much larger group.
Moscow – The terrorist attack in the Russian capital Moscow claimed more than 130 lives.
The Kremlin initially tried to shift some of the blame onto Ukraine, but Kremlin boss Vladimir Putin also recently admitted that the attack was carried out by the IS terrorist militia.
Nevertheless, he emphasized that they were looking for the actual masterminds.
In any case, his long-time confidant and former head of state Dmitri Medvedev is demanding merciless revenge on anyone who is said to have been even remotely involved in the attack.
Terrorist attack in Russia: Medvedev calls for those responsible to be killed
In the wake of the attack, more and more Russian politicians are now calling for the death penalty to be reintroduced or, at least as an exception, to be applied to the IS terrorists who were involved in the deadly attack.
A prominent advocate of draconian punishments: Dmitri Medvedev.
A day after the attack, he wrote on the short message service Telegram: “Death must be met with death.” He called for the attackers to be “mercilessly” executed.
He also said that officials from countries that supported the “massacre” must also be “destroyed.”
His most recent message on Telegram goes in the same direction.
He obviously means Ukraine and Western countries.
Finally, Putin also pointed out that the terrorists allegedly wanted to flee to Ukraine.
Other Russian politicians and pro-Kremlin propagandists on state television also claimed that the West helped plan the attack.
“Just wait, bastards”: Putin’s friend Medvedev threatens the West
“Should we kill them?
We should and we will,” Medvedev said on Telegram.
The former president and current deputy head of the Russian Security Council made it clear that he is not only concerned with the four attackers themselves.
Instead, he emphasized: “Everyone;
everyone who paid, everyone who sympathized with the attack and helped.
We will kill them all.”
In another message he expressed himself clearly.
“Just wait, bastards,” he wrote on the short message service our legitimate and main goal.” The allusion to the West is clearly audible.

However, the USA warned of attacks in Russia at the beginning of March and sent these warnings directly to Moscow.
The Kremlin is accused of not taking this warning seriously enough.
Western countries are concerned that Putin will use the terrorist attack for domestic political goals and as further justification for his war in Ukraine.
