Travel portals naturally want to advertise hotels to customers in the best possible way.
Certain descriptions should set off alarm bells for you.
Every holidaymaker has probably already experienced it: the long-awaited trip is finally about to take place - possibly to one of the insider tips in Spain - and you arrive at your destination full of anticipation.
But then you have to realize that the hotel you booked doesn't fit the expectations that were awakened by the description on the popular travel portals.
Annoying, but definitely avoidable – among other things by carefully studying the internet reviews.
Some descriptions leave a lot of room for interpretation and tend to mislead tourists.
1. Direct flight
It starts when you arrive.
Not only hotel rooms, but also the appropriate journey to the destination can now be booked directly on travel portals.
When it comes to flights, “direct flights” are often offered.
However, this only means that you do not have to change your plane during the trip, stopovers and associated waiting times are still possible.

2. Up-and-coming holiday destination just like a construction site?
Nobody wants to spend their vacation next to or in the middle of an annoying construction site.
Therefore, if you want to travel to an “up-and-coming vacation spot,” you should do more research.

4. Despite facing the sea, there is a threat of concrete
For many holidaymakers it is important to be able to enjoy the picturesque view of the sea as often as possible.

7. Evening dance events as a warning signal
If you want your vacation to be quiet and relaxed, there are several things you should pay attention to.
For example, the terms “evening dance events” and “young guests” indicate loud music that lasts late into the night.
If the hotel is described as “child-friendly”, there is a fair amount of noise even during the day.
Some people don't mind.
However, if you do not belong to this group, you should look for so-called “adult hotels”.
