The “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” director had some fun – and without the knowledge of showmaster Günther Jauch.

He was quickly named “Sexiest Man Alive” – or not.

Hürth – On Monday evening (March 25th), quiz fans could look forward to a new episode of the popular RTL guessing show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” with presenter Günther Jauch (67) – with a very special highlight within the episode.

The showmaster was really made fun of by the WWM management.

Entirely for the enjoyment of the guests and spectators present.

“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” director allows himself a fun answer with Günther Jauch

Günther Jauch is known for laughing with his role as showmaster on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” – whether he’s joking around with one of his candidates or making a faux pas during the recording.

The long-time WWM presenter is always popular with the audience.

But now it was the show direction that got the laughs of the evening.

At prime time on Monday evening, Berliner Jennifer Metz takes a seat on the RTL show's advice chair.

For the 8,000 euro question, the flight attendant has to answer a question that not only causes confusion, but also adds to the amusement of the episode.

“There were confused looks and cautious applause at an awards ceremony in 2024 when what was announced?” is the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” question.

Günther Jauch presents the following possible answers to his candidate: “Wild Animal of the Year = Hedgehog” (A), “World Footballer = Messi” (B), “Best Director = Emmerich” (C) and last but not least “Sexiest Man Alive = Jauch” (D ) - a possible answer that astonishes everyone present - including Jauch himself, who does not seem to have been informed about it.

“Please?” is the puzzled reaction of the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” moderator.

He looks directly into the camera and asks openly: “Who allowed this?”

“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” not only a hit in Germany – TV show with numerous spin-offs

“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” has not only been a real ratings hit in this country for years, the TV show, which originally came from Great Britain (there: “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”), has also developed into a real mass phenomenon internationally.

The quiz show has been licensed in over 100 countries worldwide, including Albania, Austria, Belgium, Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy, Vietnam, Poland, Portugal and Switzerland.

The program sequence, the optics and the music are often almost identical.

“Because they are hungry for money”: Günther Jauch shows no understanding of the candidate’s answer

After a short but very entertaining chat with the candidate, the flight attendant begins to think.

“I can rule out an answer,” said the Berliner, for which she received laughing applause from the audience.

Günther Jauch only punished her with a curt “courageous”.

Despite an obvious fun answer option, the candidate is unsure and chooses the 50:50 joker.

Afterwards, the showmaster can't hold back and issues a warning to the direction: "I'll warn you when I'm no longer standing there." And actually: the direction plays along with the gag for a while and leaves the answer as a choice .

The candidate doesn't really know what to say: "Mr. Jauch, I'm speechless."

But after another short conversation, the flight attendant made the decision: “I still have to take answer B.

Forgive me." The WWM showmaster doesn't let that go and ends the topic with the words: "Because they're money-hungry, right?" There is an indignant murmur from the audience, but it quickly turns into laughter.

In any case, the “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” candidate can be happy that Günther Jauch did not log in his answer option without her consent - after all, the 67-year-old had already anticipated his answer to a participant.
