On Easter Sunday, Florian Silbereisen takes viewers to Thailand as Captain Max Parger - but there will be no new "Cruise to Happiness" episode following "The Dream Ship".
Mainz – “Dream Ship” fans have certain dates planned: on New Year’s Day, Easter and Christmas, Captain Max Parger, played by Florian Silbereisen (42), sails to the most beautiful places on earth.
Since last year there has also been an additional date on which the MS Amadea sets sail.
It is not yet known whether this regularly falls in November.
But anyone looking for the spin-off “Cruise to Happiness” in the TV program will be disappointed.
The series is not only canceled at Easter.
Despite the new “Dream Ship” episode: That’s why there is no “Cruise to Happiness” edition at Easter
Many fans are really looking forward to the Thailand episode - because ZDF has not only published the first pictures, but also followed up with a “Dream Ship” trailer.
In addition to Florian Silbereisen, there are also many guest stars.
Influencer Riccardo Simonetti (31) performs his job as a veterinarian in an elephant rescue station - he even had to complete special coaching for this.
“So that you can move very confidently between these large animals,” he said at the “

But after the impressions from Phuket, there is a shift in the shaft on Easter Sunday - the spectators wait in vain for new wedding couples on “Cruise into Happiness”.
And there is a sad reason for this: After the episodes have been broadcast more and more irregularly in recent years, ZDF announced in 2023 that the offshoot will be canceled.
In a final New Year's episode, Florian Silbereisen aka Max Parger went about his job one last time, marrying couples on board the MS Amadea - before they set off on a dreamy, but sometimes dramatic, honeymoon with their wedding planners.
“Cruise to Happiness” – that’s what the spin-off was about
The spin-off usually ran after individual “The Dream Ship” episodes and followed fictional brides and grooms who got married on the MS Amadea.
Captain Max Parger and his team led the wedding ceremony on board - giving the fans an extra dose of “dream ship” feelings.
After the wedding, the crew no longer played a role because the newlyweds, their guests and the wedding planners then went ashore.
It quickly became clear that a lot can happen during the honeymoon.
“Cruise into Happiness” canceled: That’s what’s behind it
Heike Hempel, head of the main editorial team for television films/series II, spoke to
dwdl.de
in more detail about the reasons for the cancellation.
The broadcaster basically wants to concentrate more on the main series “The Dream Ship”.
“It is important to further strengthen the 'Dream Ship' brand,” she said.
In concrete terms, this probably means that in the future we will primarily stick to the four-sequence model.
