is the terrible Henry VIII in Karim Aïnouz's latest film,
The Queen's Game
.
While the feature film is released in theaters in France on Wednesday March 27, the British actor was this Tuesday invited to the set of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine in “C à vous”.
The opportunity for him to talk about the film but also about his attachment to France.

The Queen's Game
was in official competition.
Likewise, the British actor was recently in Paris to provide a French premiere of the feature film.
Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine is even surprised that he has not yet started learning the language of Molière.

“It would be a dream”
“Look, I speak a little French but let’s just say I’m a little shy. I certainly wouldn’t dare try to speak French on television
,” jokes Jude Law at first before giving Babeth more hope.
“But one day, perhaps, I really hope to be able to work on my French, even making a film in French would be a dream.

The actor from The Holiday continues by making a proposal to the presenter of France Télévisions.
“So I promise to come back when my French is sufficient and I will do an interview in French
,” he says, smiling.
And if he hoped that these words would instantly fill the audience, it was without counting on Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine and Patrick Cohen who, together, agreed to immortalize the moment.

But nothing is impossible.
As a reminder, Jude Law's parents have been living in France for around thirty years and have a family home in Maine-et-Loire, more precisely in the town of Vaudelnay south of Saumur.
