A 20-year-old driver went on a wild chase with the police on Monday (March 25th).
An officer had to jump to the side to avoid being hit.
Ingenried – A 20-year-old went on a 40-minute chase with the police on Monday evening from Kaltental in Ostallgäu to Ingenried.
As the police from Buchloe report, the small car with two people in it was noticed by the officers while on patrol.
There were no official license plates on the vehicle.
When the police tried to stop the vehicle, the 20-year-old driver fled.
He drove along country roads and through surrounding towns at a speed of up to 160 kilometers per hour.
He even used field and forest paths to escape.
Even several roadblocks initially couldn't stop him.
20-year-old flees from police: 40-minute chase ends in Ingenried
After around 40 minutes of pursuit, several patrol cars and a police helicopter were able to stop the driver in Ingenried, according to the police report.
During the operation, a police officer was only able to avoid being hit by jumping to the side.

Since the 20-year-old driver posed a massive threat to the police officer, the police are investigating, among other things, a road traffic hazard.
The banned motor vehicle racing is also the subject of the investigation against the driver.
The public prosecutor ordered the confiscation of the driver's license and a blood sample.
The vehicle was seized.
A total of ten police patrols from the districts of Upper Bavaria South, Upper Bavaria North and Swabia South/West, as well as a police helicopter, were in action on Monday evening.
Fortunately, no one was injured and there was no damage to property, according to the police report.
The police, fire brigade and rescue services in the Weilheim-Schongau district are available around the clock.
