A retired senior commissioner of the Federal Police was involved in a bloody episode this Tuesday in Villa Domínico, Avellaneda, in an alleged robbery attempt.
The former police officer was approached by two young people while he was driving his gray Peugeot 408 car, at the intersection of Arredondo and Sarmiento streets.
From inside the vehicle,
he shot several times
and killed one of them, 20 years old.
According to his testimony, the criminals approached the vehicle carrying weapons and threatened him.
In response, the retired commissioner pulled out his
personal weapon
, a 9-millimeter Taurus PT 92 pistol, and fired at least five shots.
One of the thieves was
seriously injured in the head
and fell on the spot, while his accomplice managed to escape to a nearby settlement.
Everything was recorded by a security camera that pointed exactly at that corner of the Avellaneda district.
One of the attackers - the one who would later be seriously injured - can be seen quickly approaching the retired commissioner's car.
The driver braked suddenly and, after a second, began pulling from behind the Peugeot's windshield.
The death of the injured young man was confirmed by the authorities a few minutes later.
The episode occurred this Tuesday on Arredondo Avenue, between Sarmiento and Antole France, in the South of the Conurbano.
The victim was identified as BF, 20 years old, who had a history of various crimes in the area.
The investigation of the case is being carried out by the Prosecutor's Office No. 1 of Avellaneda, under the heading of "attempted robbery and homicide", while the 6th Police Station investigates what happened.
