Where to place an aglaonema?

Aglaonema is a tropical plant that appreciates humid environments without too much light:

  • Temperature:

    the temperature suitable for growing aglaonema is between 10 and 21°C, the ideal being to maintain it at 16°C.

    She is particularly afraid of sudden changes in temperature: be careful when moving her!

  • Exposure:

    aglaonema appreciates being placed in a room with subdued light.

    Avoid placing it near a window where it would be exposed to direct sunlight;

  • Substrate:

    the plant thrives in rich, acidic and well-drained soil.

    A mixture of two thirds potting soil for indoor plants and one third heather soil provides the ideal substrate;

  • Container:

    aglaonema appreciates being a little cramped in its pot.

    Consider placing a draining layer at the bottom of the container.

  • Watering:

    like most indoor tropical plants, aglaonema requires good watering and a humid environment.

    Water once or twice a week depending on the season and spray the foliage when the air is dry;

  • Pruning:

    you can remove the wilted leaves as you go, as well as the flower stem once dried;

  • Fertilization:

    from March to October, you can add special green plant fertilizer to the watering water approximately every 15 days;

  • Diseases and parasites:

  • Place the segments horizontally in one or more pots and cover them halfway;

  • Keep the pots in a warm, humid atmosphere, under a transparent plastic bag or a cut bottle;

  • After 3 to 4 months, your cuttings can be replanted.
