“I am Andalusian.
And the Andalusians are not boring!
», exclaimed Anne Hidalgo to the readers of Le Parisien when she campaigned to become mayor of Paris, the very first time, in 2014. And, in ten years, it is true that Parisians have not been bored, both their mayor and his clashes with political figures and other institutional partners have punctuated the Parisian chronicles.
From the evening of the first round of the 2014 municipal election, Anne Hidalgo had revealed the rebellious side that would very quickly characterize her.
“Can someone thank this government of jerks that we should all throw out?
», She lost her temper in her campaign room when her right-wing rival, Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, came first in the first round, against all expectations.
