The fraudsters on the Internet are becoming more and more bold: a woman over 90 years old from the Weilheim area became the victim of a fake “Rosenheim Cop”.

The “actor” swindles a five-figure sum.

Only a call from the real actor cleared up the fraud

Fortunately, the woman's two sons had become suspicious and reported the matter to the police.

Even when the “Weilheim cops” visited the elderly woman at home, she didn’t believe the fraud, according to the Weilheim police station.

Only when contact with the “Rosenheim Cops” was made through a son and the real actor called the lady and assured her that he had no personal problems did the senior recognize the scam.
