Despite a year-long battle against cancer, Daniel Aminati's wife Patrice was found to have metastases in March 2024.

The 29-year-old has now spoken about this shock online for the first time.

Potsdam - Since 2018, presenter Daniel Aminati (50) and his Patrice (29) have been together through thick and thin - since 2022 also as a married couple and parents of their daughter.

Nothing, it seemed, could affect the family's happiness.

But at the beginning of last year, Patrice received the shock diagnosis: Black skin cancer was found in the 29-year-old.

Although it was said in the fall that Patrice was free of metastases, this relief only lasted for a short time - metastases had formed in Patrice's lungs.

Patrice Aminati speaks out on Instagram

Patrice Aminati has now spoken out about the setback.

In a series of pictures on Instagram in which she is seen visibly exhausted alongside her family in the hospital, she wrote: “Those affected know that if a cancer patient does not come forward, if he is quiet, if he is silent, then it is bad.

I've had a difficult time.

With pain that was unimaginable for me.”

She actually thought that she was finally on the road to recovery.

She did not feel “that metastases had developed in the head and lungs.”

However, it is not the cancer itself that is responsible for her enormous pain, because you can't feel it "at my stage of the disease (yet), but the therapy, from radiation to immunotherapy."

“Because I want to live”: Patrice Aminati on cancer therapy

Although she was extremely grateful for “the new, Nobel Prize-winning therapy” – “because I want to live.” However, she was not aware of the “horrific side effects this therapy would have”.

“There is nothing to sugarcoat here.

I know there are those affected who feel the same way as me - others are a little more lucky.

I lost sight and hearing because of the pain.

Every effort was made to stabilize me.

There are no words for it.”

In the meantime, she “almost lost humanity […] during the pain,” Patrice reports of the immense effects of the therapy.

At the same time, “life has never seemed so precious to me, so worth living.”

At the end of her post, Patrice Aminati sends the message to all fellow sufferers and their families: “Stay strong, be brave, stick together.

Just like us: my Daniel, my family and especially my mom.” Daniel Aminati was a great support to his wife at the time.

The presenter congratulated his wife Patrice Aminati on the anniversary with a shared photo on Instagram.
