A woman in her 90s transferred money to a man who claimed to be a “Rosenheim cop”.
She didn't want to believe the fraud until the real actor contacted her.
Weilheim - A woman over 90 years old from the Weilheim-Schongau district has fallen victim to a particularly bold scam.
The Weilheim police report that the senior citizen met a supposed actor from the television series “The Rosenheim Cops” online some time ago.
The “actor” cleverly built a relationship of trust with the lady and after weeks revealed to her what problems he had privately.
In order to do good, the woman transferred money to the fraudster several times.
Ultimately it was a five-figure sum that went to the alleged actor, according to the police.
Fortunately, the woman's two sons became suspicious and reported the matter to the police.

But even when the “Weilheim cops” visited the elderly woman at home, she didn’t want to believe the fraud.
The son therefore made contact with the actual “Rosenheim cops”.
It was only when the actor called the lady and assured her that he had no personal problems that she realized the scam.
