Closing times for motorcycles on Kesselberg: The signage from last year will be retained.

Motorbike closure times will apply again on Kesselberg from Easter Monday when coming from Kochel.

The route is off-limits for seven hours a day until the end of October.

Kochel – Who from Easter Monday (April 1st)

If you want to drive up Kesselbergstrasse by motorcycle, you have to stick to the closing times again.

Until October 31st, motorcyclists coming from Kochel are prohibited from driving between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. every day.

This means that the blocking periods that were ordered for the first time last year will apply again this year in a two-year probationary period.

From Easter Monday: The Kesselberg route from Kochel is again closed to motorcyclists daily from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m  

In 2022, the accident commission with the Bad Tölz district office, police and Weilheim State Building Authority decided on the regulation for 2023/2024 due to the many biker accidents on the popular curved route.

After the trial period, the data will be evaluated.

In the first year the number of accidents fell.

Coming from Schlehdorf and Benediktbeuern, there will again be signs at the entrance to Kochel indicating closure times and diversions.

According to the Tölzer district office, residents should contact the traffic authority and they could be exempt from the regulation if necessary.
