The Aying private brewery is looking for a suitable host for the Wiesseer Post.
The operator should work with the brewery to turn the inn into a “gastronomic flagship”.
Bad Wiessee
– Together with the Ayinger private brewery, the community of Bad Wiessee wants to lead its Gasthof Zur Post into a new future.
While the renovation work is in full swing and, according to Mayor Robert Kühn (SPD), is still within the specified cost and time frame, the brewery is already looking for a landlord and has now officially advertised the offer.
Aying Private Brewery is looking for a host with experience
“We have already had discussions in advance,” explains brewery director Helmut Erdmann when asked by our newspaper.
In order to expand the circle of potential hosts, the search has now also been published online.
The gastroportal.at website says: “A tenant/operator is being sought for the completely renovated, largely newly built traditional house 'Gasthof zur Post' in Bad Wiessee." The inn is located in the middle of the town center, "surrounded by beautiful scenery and all amenities the Tegernsee Valley tourism region”.
According to the brewery's announcement, it is looking for an experienced restaurateur who, together with the Ayinger private brewery, will "make the inn a gastronomic flagship on Lake Tegernsee."

Erdmann is confident that he will soon be able to present the people of Wiesse with a host.
"It looks good.
There are some very interesting candidates,” he says.
The fact that the brewery has to find a suitable operator for the inn is one of the points set out in the agreement with the municipality.
As both Erdmann and Kühn explain, the partnership between the brewery and the community is still regulated by a preliminary agreement.
Nothing has changed in the meantime.
Both parties say they firmly believe that the partnership will last.
“There is no reason to think otherwise,” says Kühn.
The community is in constant, open and constructive exchange with the representatives of the private brewery.
Gasthof Zur Post is scheduled to reopen in mid-2025
The mayor reports that the renovation of the post office is progressing quickly.
In the online tender by the private brewery there is talk of completion around mid-2025. Then the Wiesseer Post will have a guest room with around 150 seats, an adjoining room with 40 seats, a Salettl with 90 seats that opens onto the pub garden, and a new one A festival and event hall with 200 seats and a beer garden with up to 400 seats are available.
The hotel has 44 double rooms.
The property, it is said, will be equipped to a high standard.
