The resources for the Basin Authorities for the 2024 planning have risen to almost 40 million euros. This was announced by the Deputy Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, Vannia Gava, explaining that "the overall financial allocation provides for the current year, additional resources of almost 18 million euros allocated to strengthening the operational capabilities of the entities and strengthening actions to protect the territory".
"We are working on an environmental defense program that is no longer emergency but structural - explains Gava in a note - The increase in funds is moving in this direction".
The additional resources will be divided as follows: plus 1 million euros to the Po River ADB, which brings the institution's overall allocation to 7.1 million euros;
plus 473 thousand euros to the AdB of the Eastern Alps, for a total of 6.8 million euros;
plus 462 thousand euros to the AdB of the Northern Alps, for a budget of 7.2 million euros;
plus 480 thousand euros to the AdB of the Central Apennines, for a total of 6.4 million euros in transfers;
plus 400 thousand euros to the AdB of the Southern Apennines, for a total of 9.5 million euros.
Finally, plus 200 thousand euros to each of the Sicily and Sardinia Basin Authorities.
