The Glonner hairdresser Georg Empl and his team have once again won a renowned industry award.
In Düsseldorf they were named Salon of the Year.

– The leading hairdressing trade magazine TOP HAIR International has honored the best salons in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Empl.Friseure from Glonn prevailed against strong competition at the renowned “TOP Salon – The Challenge” event in Düsseldorf and was named “TOP Salon of the Year” in the “Best Practice” category.
Expert jury speaks of award “for a life’s work”
In order to pass in this category, the applicants had to convincingly demonstrate to the expert jury how they continuously combine a long-standing company tradition with renewal and growth.
The jury said: “With this year’s Best Practice Award we are not only honoring a salon and the team behind it, but rather it is an award for a life’s work of a passionate hairdresser.”
Georg Empl opened his first salon in 1980. Today he and his team serve customers' requests in different price categories in three salons in his hometown of Glonn: the "Schneidewerk" specially designed for trainees, the main building with services in the middle price segment and the high-class salon “Refuge” for special requirements.
The catchment area of Empl.Friseure's customers extends far beyond the borders of the 5,000-inhabitant town of Glonn.
“Slow Hair” is intended to put people at the center
For the team at Empl.Friseure, hair is more than just a style, it is an expression of personality, according to experts.
Under the motto “Slow Hair”, the focus is on people.
Every team member embodies this concept.
“Our customers are viewed holistically and given individual advice before they are served by the stylists with first-class cutting, coloring and styling services at the highest level,” explains Georg Empl.
For the fourth time, entrepreneur Georg Empl and his team were named the best salon of the year.

15 teams compete against each other in five categories
For more than two decades, the Top Hair International trade fair in Düsseldorf has been honoring the outstanding achievements of the best hairdressing companies as part of the “TOP Salon – The Challenge” competition.
The renowned award honors salon companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
15 selected teams compete against each other in five categories.
The salons must submit extensive application documents and fill out a detailed questionnaire.
In order to impress in this category, the applicants had to convincingly demonstrate to the expert jury how they continuously combine a long-standing company tradition with renewal and growth.
Three salons are nominated by the jury in each category.
These are subjected to a thorough test by the company ISC-CX from Munich, in which anonymous test customers examine the service quality and customer orientation of the salons.
