His wife was about to go out to deliver the family grocery store, a venture he set up to
"make ends meet."
But he told her to stay and took her place.
A few blocks away,
five criminals approached him to rob him,
on the corner of Mario Bravo and Ginebra, and
killed him with a shot to the abdomen.
They called Loria "Pepo" and with Sonia, his wife, they had two children.
They were going to celebrate 28 years of marriage this Tuesday, according to her, adding that he had asked for the day at work to go out to celebrate.
Sonia described Pepo as
“a law enforcement officer who loved his job.”
In a television interview she also said that she “lived for the Prefecture” and said that on a daily basis she reproached him “that he was on the phone all the time solving problems.”
This Tuesday, social networks were filled with messages from friends and acquaintances, moved by Loria's crime.
There they described him as a person “very dedicated” to his work and assured that he was a man who exuded joy in every encounter.
Others demanded that what happened be investigated and the murderers caught.
“Justice brother.
I'm going to miss you for the rest of my life.
I can not believe it.
How easy it is for the blood of a servant of the country to dry.
I hope you rest in peace,” wrote a colleague of the victim.
Sonia also said that the youngest of her children, 15 years old, told her that because of the occupations he had and the time he dedicated to work "his father did not enjoy it. He is devastated, we
have no consolation nor do we know how we are going to continue."

According to witnesses and investigation sources, Loria did not try to resist and they shot him.
The prefect was approached by the assailants who were traveling in a Volkswagen Fox and wanted to steal his vehicle, a Renault Duster in Villa Fiorito, Lomas de Zamora district.
“A desperate woman called me, she told me 'please come, they wanted to rob your husband, he is lying in the street.
Come, come,'" Sonia said, adding: "And well, I called my brother who lives in front of the business and we flew out.
When we went we saw him very badly injured, the ambulance was not coming and we decided to pick him up because I didn't want to wait any longer.
He talked to him, I gave him breathing, we lifted him up as best we could together.
I put him on my lap and we went to the UPA (Prompt Care Unit).”
