At first it was unclear how the terrible accident in Munich could have happened.
A 32-year-old was killed.
Munich – A tragic accident occurred during excavation work in Munich early on Tuesday afternoon (March 26th).
A 32-year-old man lost his life.
“When the alerted forces arrived, the man was lying lifeless and seriously injured in a construction pit,” reports the Munich fire department about the accident that occurred on Wohlfartstrasse in Freimann.
For an unknown reason, the later accident victim was in the invisible swivel area of the excavator arm at around 1:30 p.m.
He was hit by the excavator bucket and pushed against the embankment.
“He suffered serious injuries to his chest area.
The emergency services immediately initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
A short time later they were supported by the fire brigade,” says a press release.

After the seriously injured man was taken from the pit into an ambulance, an ambulance transported him to the shock room of a Munich clinic.
Further resuscitation measures were carried out on the journey.
The sad news from the fire department: “A short time later, the man succumbed to his serious injuries.” The excavator driver had to be looked after by a crisis intervention team.
The police are now investigating the exact cause of the accident.
