He will have to wait even longer than expected to recover his 12 points.
While he held a probationary license, a 21-year-old young man was stopped by the Loire-Atlantique gendarmes on Sunday afternoon at 178 km/h, on a section of road limited to 80 km/h.
On the N171, in Blain, north of Nantes, the gendarmes of the Nozay motorized platoon were carrying out a control operation.
It is common for them to report infractions there.
However, finding yourself faced with a young driver still driving with their A, at a speed twice as high as the authorized one, turns out to be less common.
Red card
Spotted in an Audi, the young man stopped without worry and admitted to having driven a little fast: he
“justified his excess by the pleasure of speed!”
, commented the gendarmes of the department in a message published on social networks, accompanied by a
“red card”
, in order to raise awareness among the general public of this type of dangerous offense.
The driver lost the six points he had accumulated.
His probationary license is administratively suspended.
He received a fifth class fine (sanctioned by a fine, the actual amount of which is set by the Police Court during the judgment) and left... on foot.
