Highlights: Residents of the south on the expansion of shooting from the Gaza Strip: "It makes the return of the evacuees to their homes more distant" "I didn't sleep all night, it's frustrating, there are hard feelings," shared Revital Hermon, a resident of Sderot. Yossi Partok, a member of the Ashkelon City Council, believes that the shooting will only stop if the military operation continues. "The war did not put an end to the firing of rockets. We will not agree to return to a situation where we will continue to be ranged," he said.

Almost half a year into the war, and rockets are still being fired from the north of the Gaza Strip, reaching Ashdod and Ashkelon again. The residents of the south express frustration with the situation, saying: "The war did not put an end to the firing of rockets. We will not agree to return to a situation where we will continue to be ranged."

About 14 rockets were fired at the southern settlements yesterday (Monday) from the Gaza Strip, which once again shook the residents of the area.

The residents, some of them evacuees who have already managed to return to their homes since the beginning of the war, do not understand how at this stage they are still receiving fire in their area, and fear the infiltration of terrorists from the Strip.

"I didn't sleep all night, it's frustrating, there are hard feelings," shared Revital Hermon, a resident of Sderot.

"They tell you it's safe to go back, and in the end rockets are fired at the boulevards. We are always on the alert and with our finger on the pulse that it doesn't happen that the children are at school. We were under stress yesterday, because of the fear of infiltration and shooting at the city."

Yossi Partok, a member of the Ashkelon City Council, believes that the shooting will only stop if the military operation continues.

"We knew that after Ashdod they also fired at Ashkelon," he said.

"The war has not put an end to the rocket fire, they are also firing from the north of the Gaza Strip. We must not stop the fighting in the Gaza Strip, Sderot and Otaf Gaza, Ashkelon and Ashdod must not be cities that are ranged, we will not agree to return to such a situation."

In the wake of the war, Ma'ayan Shneor, chairman of the Netiv Hathara committee, moved with her friends from the moshav to temporary residences in Ashkelon. Yesterday, both her home in the moshav and her temporary home in Ashkelon were hit by gunfire from Gaza. "We don't feel safe," she said. The IDF, but we see that the terrorists can shoot there as well. Each of their shots only pushes the return of the residents from the settlements in the Otaf further away."
