The Altomünster school association has unanimously approved the 2024 budget.

Altomünster – The Altomünster school association has unanimously approved the 2024 budget.

In the administrative budget it ends with 2.8 million euros and in the asset budget with 838,000 euros.

“There is overall less construction work at the school this year,” said the association chairman, Mayor Michael Reiter.

However, 200,000 euros this year and 220,000 euros next year have been set aside for the second phase of the general renovation of the sanitary areas, which must also be made barrier-free overall.

The photovoltaic system built last year on the school roof will be supplemented this year with a battery storage system (cost: 275,000 euros) in order to use as much self-generated electricity as possible.

An additional PV system is planned for the remaining area on the school roof in the coming years.

All measures this year can be covered by the transfer from the administrative budget to the capital budget (approach: 763,000 euros), and on top of that, loans amounting to 146,000 euros can be repaid so that no new debts have to be taken on.

The total number of students in the current school year is 416 (previous year: 469).

Of these, 96 are middle school students from Altomünster, 34 from the member community Hilgertshausen-Tandern and 286 elementary school students (previous year 317).

However, deputy principal Susanne Tausche sees a positive development: in the next school year she expects there will be four classes in primary school again.

A big chunk of investment is coming in the next few years with the expansion of all-day care.

1.6 million euros are planned for 2025 and 1.7 million for 2026.

This year only 30,000 euros are due for planning.
