On August 27, 2022, the lifeless body of a 67-year-old man was found in an apartment in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon lying in a pool of blood and in an advanced state of putrefaction.
A year and a half later, after a long investigation, a suspect was arrested in Villeurbanne on March 20.
According to a police source confirming information from Actu Lyon, this man, originally from Nepal and aged 30, was confused thanks to DNA found several times in the victim's home.
A genetic sketch was then carried out.
By crossing the latter, which indicated that the carrier of this DNA was of Asian origin, with the telephone records of the sixty-year-old, the investigators were able to identify the suspect.
