It is a biodiversity reserve located in the heart of the 19th arrondissement of Paris.

The Rouvray dock, this dead arm of the Ourcq canal which runs along the Metz quay for almost 300 m at the southern end of the Parc de la Villette, now has a new owner.

This Monday, the exchange of property between the State and the City of Paris was signed.

This purchase from the State will make it possible to “create a reservoir of biodiversity”, rejoices Emmanuel Grégoire, first deputy (PS) to the mayor of Paris.

“The Rouvray dock will be secured and renatured in order to preserve the fauna and flora that develop there.
