Whether it was a garbage problem, a crossing aid or a lack of cleaning: the Zollingers used the citizens' meeting to put forward their concerns.

Zolling

- Even though Zolling's mayor Helmut Priller had already addressed many topics in his two-hour annual report (

we reported

), there were still a few concerns from the citizens at the citizens' meeting.

At around 9:30 p.m. it was “fire clear” as Priller opened the “fight round”.

Sports hall not in a clean condition

At the start, a listener brought up an unpleasant topic: In the sports hall “it looks like it's scary.

The hall floor is dusty and slippery, and the toilets look sad.” The mayor knows that there is a “lack of cleaning” here.

That’s why they “terminated the company”.

Now the community is looking for new cleaners who will clean the sports hall “as you would expect,” said Priller.

Big garbage problem

Another citizen brought up a “garbage problem with a larger house” on Roiderstrasse.

“Every two weeks there is a lot of rubbish on the street,” he reported.

This topic has also been “known to the community for a long time,” said Priller.

And it gets even worse: The mayor reported that he recently observed someone “disposing of his deep fryer with the liquid oil down a floor drain” on the street in question.

He asked the person not to do this, "because this floor drain does not end in the sewage treatment plant, but in an infiltration system, where the rainwater belongs." Priller made it clear that "I have little understanding for such incidents."

Such actions are also an example of “how garbage and disposal are handled.”

The district office was informed accordingly.

The authority should also take care of the “wild parking” on Roiderstrasse.

The plans for the planned dirt park

What became of the plans for a planned dirt park or pump track facility north of the Anglberger Weiher was also asked.

Here Priller reported that efforts had been made to obtain grants, but these could only be obtained as part of the Leader program (European Union program of measures).

Since Zolling was not a leader community until recently, there was no funding.

But “as luck would have it,” says Priller, we received the offer to become a leader community – “not every community will be accepted.”

They accepted the offer and will now submit another application for funding – provided the local council agrees.

After all, “it’s about a funding amount of almost 150,000 euros from the European fund,” says Priller.

“We see that things keep happening”

Safe crossing of the Flitzinger intersection was another topic on which Priller commented when asked.

“There was an on-site meeting,” he reported, during which a roundabout, a crossing aid and turning lanes were considered.

The result: “The state building authority, which is responsible, has identified no need for a safe crossing aid to be paid for, planned and implemented for this intersection.” This leaves only one option: “If the Zolling local council is prepared to do this in one “To create a special construction load, then we will take up the topic again” and implement one of the approved variants.

Because: “We see that something is always happening.”
