The 50-year-old man who doused himself in petrol while locked in his car and set himself on fire in front of the family home in via Puccini in Golasecca, in the province of Varese, has died.
The 50-year-old passed away around 3pm after being admitted to the major burns department of the Niguarda hospital in Milan following the very serious burns he suffered.
The man set himself on fire before the eyes of his 42-year-old wife and 13-year-old daughter, both of whom were seriously burned in an attempt to save him.
