There is no snow in sight at Easter.
A drastic change in the weather is imminent.
Spring is returning and feels like summer.
Munich – BBQ weather at Easter?
After the onset of winter with snow and slippery roads at the weekend, that sounds a little absurd.
But it will be warm, perhaps even summery, with maximum temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius.

“According to the European weather model ECMWF, there are signs of an Easter summer,” says meteorologist Dominik Jung.
“There could be peaks of around 20 degrees from Good Friday to Easter Sunday, regionally even 25 or 26 degrees are possible,” predicts the head of the weather service

“According to the ECMWF, the mild air masses come directly from the Sahara to Germany,” explains the weather expert.
“Saharan air in Germany would make the Easter bunny sweat.” A “cold air egg at Easter” is therefore completely off the table.

However, the weather models are still divided.
The US weather model sees the weather trend as slightly cooler.
“Here, 'only' 15 to 20 degrees are calculated.” His conclusion: “That would be a weather situation like in June or July.” Individual thunderstorms would be possible in the afternoon.
According to the forecast, Saharan dust would also reach us.

In his opinion, whether Germany will be fully hit by the summer heat still depends on a few details.
First day of summer 2024 on Easter weekend?
“At the end of the week and into the Easter days, the weather calmed down, only some rain in the west and north, (very) mild,” says the 10-day forecast from the German Weather Service (DWD) (as of March 23rd).
The next few days will probably show whether we will experience the first day of summer 2024 on Easter Sunday.
After the record February, March could break temperature records if it actually gets that warm at Easter.
According to weather expert Jung, March is currently “in second place among the warmest March months in more than 140 years.” Current trends also indicate that there will be further months that are significantly too warm until summer.
Was the 100-year-old calendar correct with its forecast for spring 2024?
In any case, it should be “very cold” on March 22nd and 23rd.
Better weather is forecast for the end of March.
